"SOUL of Odyssey," a KL Shakespeare and the Hiroshi Koike Bridge Project collaboration, will be staged from 26-29 October at the Damansara Performing Arts Centre. This reimagined adaptation of Homer's work explores the hero's journey and responses to uncontrollable forces. It delves into Odysseus' challenges, mythical encounters, and his family's struggles during his absence. "SOUL of Odyssey" blends various performative traditions and elements, including dialogue, storytelling, dance, live music, and multilingual performances (Malay, Chinese, English, Japanese), creating a multimedia, multisensory experience. Elements of this production will be woven into one at the Osaka Exposition 2025.
